Become an astronaut on the International Space Station! Spaceflight Challenge 1 features science topics from across the secondary schools European curricula.

This products can be enjoyed as a role playing adventure game or as a set of interactive exercises that can be accesses in any order. Full scientific explanations and background information are provided.

Introducing the 'ISS Education Kit on the web'

The ISS Education Kit has been adapted to create this online version. The 'ISS Education Kit on the web' is based around the same content as the printed version, and making use of the extra possibilities offered by the Internet, includes interactive exercises and multimedia features.

Target groups

The target groups for the ISS Education Kit are teachers throughout Europe and their students, aged 12 – 15.

The ISS Education Kit is aimed at teachers of secondary school pupils aged 12-15. ESA has developed the kit using input from teachers.

Five chapters use various aspects of ISS to present inter-disciplinary exercises common to European curricula. The text describes what the ISS is, how it is being built, what it is like to live and work on board, and what future voyages will be like.

There are not only text and explanations about the International Space Station, but also related inter-disciplinary exercises, a teacher's guide and a glossary.
