Frank De Winne is an ESA astronaut of Belgian nationality. His last mission to the ISS (called OasISS) in 2009 lasted 6 months during which he conducted several educational activities for ESA as well as became the first European Commander of the ISS.


Frank De Winne will show a presentation with stunning images from space about his missions and experience as an ESA astronaut. He will focus on his experience with pupils on Earth and on the ISS, explaining why space can be an efficient educational tool in the classroom. The presentation will be followed by a session of questions and answers on educational activities, space and astronauts.
